About Musical Millon

The Musical Million described itself as "A journal of music, poetry and chaste home literature". This journal, started and edited by Aldine Kieffer. was published by the Ruebush-Kieffer Publishing Company from 1870 to about 1914. It's intent was to help readers improve their musical skills through shape-note singing and sacred hymnody. The Musical Million had a deep and lasting impact on singing and gospel music in the American South.

The Menno Simons Historical Library has an organ owned by Aldine Kieffer.
