College Writing Library Tutorial: Finding Books Outside The Hartzler Library

WorldCat

WorldCat allows you to search for books in libraries worldwide and borrow them using InterLibrary Loan (ILL).

You can search WorldCat after searching Sadie the Library Catalog and do not find good results in the Hartzler Library. Also, WorldCat is a good place to see which libraries hold a particular title if it is not available from EMU.  Access through WorldCat.org is freely available to anyone at worldcat.org.

Google Books provides access to both public domain and copyrighted material.

You may be able to view the full content of a book which is in the public domain.

You may only be able to view small snippets of a book which is still under copyright.

Provides access to digitized books.

Some full-text content is not available because of copyright.
