College Writing Library Tutorial: You Found Sources, Now What?

Integrating Sources

You have successfully found reliable sources and are ready to start the process of using your research to write your paper. Now what?

You can look for techniques and tips in The Everyday Writer on page 193. You can also view the guides below for more help on how to use sources.

Citing Sources

It is essential you accurately attribute information in your paper to the author or authors that created the information. Therefore, proper citations are a key component of your college writing research paper.

For help on APA citation style, see The Everyday Writer page 461.

You can also view the OWL at Purdue's APA Formatting and Style Guide for additional examples of citations and a reference page formatted in APA.

The Hartzler Library has the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) available in reference collection (call number: R 808.02 P976 2010)

If you need further help with citation style, contact an EMU Librarian.

Writing Tutors

The EMU Academic Success Center provides free tutoring services to EMU students on the third floor of the Hartzler Library. Tutors are trained to help you with your writing needs as well as course specific tutoring.

You must register with WC Online to schedule a tutoring appointment.

Also, look for information about evening drop-in tutoring this fall.
